IT Support Technician |

We are currently recruiting on a temporary basis for an IT Support Technician, based within a College to start ASAP.

The right candidate will need to have a current DBS

The main purpose of this position is to provide 1st line support as part of a comprehensive IT service for all staff and students within the College.

You will be required to provide:

- A polite and professional customer focused IT service to staff and students.

- Log, actively respond to and where possible resolve, incoming technical telephone calls, emails, voice-mails via the College's helpdesk system.

- Assist in the delivery of a central helpdesk facility and ensure that there is adequate cover at all times.

- Keep users informed on the progress of requests and escalate problems or high priority calls to the IT Support Manager.

- Install, configure and maintain IT related hardware / software at a basic level (1st line) to ensure operational effectiveness to the highest standard.

- Support the College's telephone systems including installation and basic trouble shooting of handset or cabling faults.

- Maintain and support College AV equipment including interactive whiteboards, projectors, digital cameras and DVD players.

We are looking for some one who has had previous experience working in a PC / Helpdesk support role.

Has knowledge of:

- Support Microsoft Windows Desktop, Microsoft Office and Apple OSX products.

- Experience working with Active Directory in performing basic user support tasks.

- Knowledge of networking, and network cabling.

- Experience supporting AV equipment
