A great opportunity to join this extremely successful organisation at an exciting time of growth as an Operations Manager.  As an Operations Manager you will have full responsibility for managing the Slough region, ensuring the operations run efficiently, revenue levels and customer service levels are met / exceeded within budget.  This is a senior role within the business reporting to the UK Operations Director.

Duties will include:

Strategically planning the operations of the Slough region (2 sites) to meet business objectives, communicating with the Supervisory team to ensure processes etc. are implemented to achieve such goals

Setting, monitoring and analysing weekly, monthly and annual targets and identifying areas of improvement 

Liaising with Sales Team to ensure new customers are onboarded smoothly

Ensuring individual teams are aware and meet KPIs (quality, timescales and customer satisfaction)

Ensuring the Supervisory Team maximise efficiency in planning (staff rosters), logistics, customer service, process development and IT applications

Ensuring staffing levels are at the required levels, liaising with HR Teams regarding recruitment and the training and development of existing employees

Full budget responsibility for the region

Ensuring the region adheres to processes and procedures, audit requirements are met and required accreditations are maintained

Identifying new sources of revenue, continuous improvement processes and evolving in line with existing and new business requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

Has proven experience in a logistics / operations / transport management environment at a senior level (3 years +)

Has the ability to manage a fast moving operation across 2 sites (a car driver is essential)

Has a strategic approach, planning and budget management experience, a strong business / commercial acumen, proven experience of P and L management is essential

Has excellent people management skills, motivates teams, leads by example and has a hands on approach

Is customer focused, motivates others to deliver an exceptional level of customer service

This is a role that will require flexibility with working hours, it's a standard 40 hour working week, there will be occasions when working weekends and out of normal hours will be required.  The role will be responsible for 2 sites (Slough and 1 other in the Berkshire area), therefore a car owner / driver is essential.

The role is subject to a criminal records check, coupled with a 5 year checkable work history.
